Latin name: Angelica sylvestris
Description: Angelica is a tall, robust species occupying largely damp areas such as marshy ground and damp woodlands, although it is also found on coastal cliffs across the UK and Ireland. It is an adaptable plant, although local conditions can cause a lot of variation in its appearance.
Flowering time: June to September
Colour: White to light pink
Management: Angelica plants do best when grown in deep, fertile, damp soil and dappled shade, although they can also cope with full sunlight if the soil is kept damp.
