All our plants are native British wildflowers grown in Peat-free compost in our sustainable nursery.

Common name: Maiden Pink

Latin name: Dianthus deltoides

Description: With its bright pink flowers, Maiden pink is often considered one of the UK's most attractive wildflower species. A low-growing, mat-forming plant, it likes dry conditions with little competition, and grows on stony ground and sloping hillsides in the wild.

Height: 10-30cm

Flowering time: June to September

Colour: Deep or pale pink

Management: Maiden pink prefers open, dry, neutral soils, though it can cope with slightly alkaline soil. They do best in full sunlight. Regular dead-heading will extend and intensify the flowering season.

Kindly be aware that as autumn approaches, our wildflower plants might be delivered in a state where they appear to have passed their peak. We strive to inform you about this at the time of your order. It is common for native plants to exhibit leaf blotches or have dead/brown leaves during specific times of the year; this is entirely natural. We assure you that we meticulously inspect the root condition, ensuring their robust health. Once planted, the plug plant will respond accordingly.

Please understand that owing to the perishable nature of our plug plants, the usual right to cancel does not apply.
