Our Primrose bare root plants are priced per plant. These are sent out as bare root and are 2-3 year old plants, as such are very robust. They need to be planted out within 2-3 days of being received. This product has a minimum quantity of 10 plants. For orders over 500 plants please contact us.
All our plants are native British wildflowers grown in Peat-free compost in our sustainable nursery.

Latin Name: Primula vulgaris
Description: A hardy little plant, the Primrose can flower from as early as December in mild years, appearing all the way through the spring until May. It favours woodland clearings, hedgerows and grassland habitats, and sometimes even gardens. Primroses are the foodplant of the caterpillars of the rare Duke of Burgundy Butterfly.
Flower Colour: Lemon yellow.

Height: 10cm
Management: Primroses prefer moist but free draining soils, with a little shade. If growing on grassland it is important to ensure the grass is cut and cleared.
