NOTE - Wood Anemone are supplied as rhizomes which are swollen, twig-like roots (a little bit similar to bulbs). They are best planted between September to end of October. They will be available to order at that time.

Latin Name: Anemone nemorosa
Description: The wood anemone is a small native plant of woodland, hedgerows and shady areas. It prefers undisturbed areas with slightly damp ground. The large white flowers are set against fern like foliage. The rhizomes are best planted in the Autumn. It is present throughout most of the UK and Ireland, although may be rare or absent in northern Scotland and southern Ireland.

Management: Wood Anemone will thrive in shade, partial shade or areas near water. They don't do well where sites are grazed or mown often.
