All our plants are native British wildflowers grown in Peat-free compost in our sustainable nursery.

Common Name: Foxglove

Latin Name: Digitalis purpurea

Description: A tall plant with distinctive bell-shaped flowers, foxgloves are easily recognisable and a familiar sight across the whole of the UK. Foxgloves favour habitats with lime-poor soils, especially where ground has been cleared or burned, and are common in deciduous woodlands, scrub and heathlands.

Flower Colour: Pink-Purple.

Flowering Time: Late May to September

Plant Height: 100 - 150cm

Management: Foxgloves do better in well-drained/light, clay/heavy, acidic, moist soils. Foxgloves are mildly poisonous, and consideration needs to be taken on where to plant.

We strive to inform you about this at the time of your order. It is common for native plants to exhibit leaf blotches or have dead/brown leaves during specific times of the year; this is entirely natural. We assure you that we meticulously inspect the root condition, ensuring their robust health. Once planted, the plug plant will respond accordingly.
