Our Lesser Celandines are true native plants grown from seed sourced from our native woodland. We can guarantee our plants are full UK native species. All our plants are native British wildflowers grown from wild seed in our sustainable nursery.

Latin Name: Ficaria verna
Description: Lesser Celandine is one of the very first springtime plants to flower, producing its cheerful yellow flowers from February to May. It is a widespread species, being found in damp woodlands, hedgerows, gardens, roadsides and riverbanks throughout the UK and Ireland. This plant produces bulbils and as such is either sold as bulbils or growing plants.

Management: Lesser Celandine will thrive in shade, partial shade or areas on shady banks. They don't do well where sites are grazed or mown often.
