Latin Name: Ficaria verna
Description: Lesser Celandine is one of the very first springtime plants to flower, producing its cheerful yellow flowers from February to May. It is a widespread species, being found in damp woodlands, hedgerows, gardens, roadsides and riverbanks throughout the UK and Ireland. This plant produces bulbils and as such is either sold as bulbils or growing plants.

Management: Lesser Celandine will thrive in shade, partial shade or areas on shady banks. They don't do well where sites are grazed or mown often.
