Common name: Marsh Cinquefoil
Latin name: Comarum palustre
Description: An inhabitant of marshy ground and boggy pools, Marsh Cinquefoil is more commonly found in the north of Britain, although its range does also cover central Wales, Norfolk and Ireland. The reddish-purple flowers are quite unusually shaped compared to many British wildflowers, making it a distinctive species.

Management: Marsh Cinquefoil does well in poor or moderately fertile, damp soils. It prefers full sunlight.
