Our Ramsons are true native plants grown from seed sourced from our native woodland. We can guarantee our plants are full UK native species. The Ramson in the green plants are 2-3 year old rhizomes and they should flower in their first year after planting. The plants come with rhizome, roots and leaves and sometimes as a small plug. You need to plant the whole plant or whole plug and be careful not to let the roots dry out. We start checking our bulbs in early January and send out for despatch when ready in March/April. All our plants are native British wildflowers grown from wild seed in our sustainable nursery.

Description: Wild garlic is found in woodlands across the UK, often in damp areas such as next to rivers and in damp hedgebanks. Some areas have seen a decline in numbers due to woodland clearance. The plant has a distinct garlic smell when the leaves are crushed and its leaves can be used for cooking.

Management: Ramsons will thrive in shade, partial shade or areas near water. They don't do well where sites are grazed or mown often.
