Our Winter Aconites are true UK native plants grown from seed sourced from our native woodland or taken from land with agreement from the landowner. Winter Aconites bulbs are supplied 'in the green' between January and March. Price quoted per bulb. This product has a minimum quantity of 10 plants. For orders over 1000 Winter Aconite please contact us as we can arrange bespoke quotations.
The bulbs will be sent out as soon as they are ready. All our plants are native British wildflowers grown from wild seed in our sustainable nursery.

Latin Name: Eranthis hyemalis
Description: Winter Aconite is a species of flowering plant in the buttercup family Ranunculaceae, native to calcareous woodland habitats. It is a tuberous-rooted herbaceous perennial growing to 15 cm with large, yellow, cup-shaped flowers held above a collar of 3 leaf-like bracts, appearing in late winter and early spring.

Management: These plants do well under shady and dry conditions and will cope with a wide range of soil types. The work well with snowdrops.
